Midwest Volunteers On Stand By To Help Hurricane Michael Victims

Posted: Updated:

Salvation Army disaster response teams throughout the southeastern U.S. are preparing to respond in the recovery efforts of Hurricane Michael.
Volunteers from Minnesota and North Dakota are on standby, ready to lend a hand if needed.
Salvation Army staff and volunteers are preparing to provide food, water, cleanup kits, emotional support, and other services to survivors and relief workers in communities across the Florida Panhandle.
The Salvation Army Northern Division, which includes Minnesota and North Dakota, has about 20 trained disaster volunteers ready to travel to the region at a moment's notice if called to do so by Salvation Army officials in Florida.
Last year, The Salvation Army Northern Division deployed 25 volunteers to support relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricanes Irma and Maria in Puerto Rico.
