Rainy Weather Hindering Harvest

Cool temperatures, clouds and rainfall kept farmers out of the field for a majority of the week last week.
In its weekly Minnesota crop report, the USDA says it received several reports of weather hindering harvest activity, with less than 3 days suitable for fieldwork last week.
Right now, 37 percent of the soybean crop has been harvested, 6 days ahead of last year, but 3 days behind average.
Soybean condition was rated 72 percent good to excellent.
As for corn, harvest for grain is 15 percent complete, two weeks ahead of last year. Corn for silage harvest is nearing completion at 96 percent.
The Corn crop condition was rated 77 percent good to excellent.
