(ROCHESTER, Minn) - For the second time in three months, President Donald Trump rallied Minnesota Republicans ahead of the midterm elections

Air Force One landed in Rochester to campaign for Congressional District 1 candidate Jim Hagedorn

"By the grace of God, we are grateful and proud, Mr. President, thank you for what you are doing for our country," said Hagedorn while joining President Trump on the Mayo Civic Center stage.

Republicans from across the state journeyed to the Mayo Civic Center to hear the President speak

"Minnesota was so close to becoming a Republican state in the last election," said MSU Student Kirsten Bohman. "I think this year we can finally flip it to be Republican"

"We used to be a flyover state so we have a president who cares enough to come to Minnesota and hear what the issues are of all Minnesotans." said US Senate Candidate Karin Housley

District 23B Representative Jeremy Munson also made the trek to Thursday's rally supporting the party

"The president is a great medium to get the word out to help our candidates and really talk about the issues that are important to this district," said Munson. "Talking about trade, talk about agriculture and of course health care which is our number one issue in the district."

Minnesota's GOP is hopeful that President Trump's presence in Rochester will have a positive impact on voters

Until then, local Republicans will continue to campaign until November 6th's general election.
